A Spontaneous Visit to Varanasi

In December 2019, I went to Lucknow for my music exams.After  the exam there was a conversation about going to Varanasi. It is unique to see some of the famous places of the Lord Buddha and many Buddhists come here to pay homage to these places. While I was still thinking about it, they have already prepared a vehicle for the trip. It was about 10 hours from Lucknow where we were staying.

                               

   We made sandwiches and coffee the night before we left. The destination was the Mahabodhi Temple - Saranath. We did not feel tired due to traveling in a comfortable vehicle. We left our luggage in the lounge and went to see the museum there. This monastery is called as Mula Gandha Kuti Viharaya that marked the spot where the Lord Budhha sat on for meditation. Those places are really meant for  meditation. There’s a monk ties pirith strings on everyone's hands. It's been two years since this trip, but it's a great miracle for me that the string of Pirith tied there is still intact. 😌
