The tangy story of trying Crunchy Puffs
In 2018, I went to India. During the first week of the tour, I tasted Indian street foods. Gol Gappa is one of the most common street food in India. It's classically served at a cold temperature. I tried Gol Gappa for the very first time in my life. It has different flavors as shown in this picture like sour, chili, sweet, etc. Gol Gappa is also known by many other names in their regional varieties. For example;
- Delhi, Panjab - Gol Gappa,
- Haryana and Madhya Pradesh -Paani Patashi,
- Uttar Pradesh -Paani ke Batashe,
- Bangaladesh, Pakistan -Fuchka.

They make a paste of mashed potatoes, green peas, chickpeas and fill it into the small puri. Then we can choose different flavors and soak puri to our liking. I ate a lot of chili-flavored puri. I would never ever forget the taste of that chili puri. The first time I tasted it, my eyes literally got filled with tears because it was that tasty. If you have not experienced the Gol Gappa you must definitely try out one day. It's taste is to die for.
