Indigenous spices unique to Southern Asia

 

           

The food culture of South Asian countries is taking a very different path when you look at the diet of the world. The region consists of Afganistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. People in these countries are famous for their delicious food. They distribute their spices all over the world. It should be noted that these countries were colonized by the Portuguese, Dutch, and British. They exported a large number of spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, etc. Even today our spices are sold at very high prices in European and American countries. I have visited many countries but I am proud to say that South Asian countries including my country have some of the yummiest, tastiest, and healthiest food that can not be found anywhere else. Another thing which I noticed while traveling was that lot of foreigners' show a great interest towards our food.
